CANDIDATE CHECKING
CANDIDATE CHECK within THE CRIMINAL RECORDS BUREAU (CRB)
Every check begins with a full passport check because having a clean British passport doesn`t always mean that a person has a clean police file with no criminal record, and he or she has never been the subject of investigation or punishment pertaining to illegal or unethical actions against children.
CRB is a special checking process for employees who are working with children, the elderly or vulnerable people who are in need of special care and protection.
When you decide to place your trust of the welfare of your child or children to an unknown person you must be sure that they will be in the care of a thoroughly capable candidate who has been checked out thoroughly by the British police system. That is why we recommend that if the candidate is working in your house as a tutor, housekeeper or a nanny from Great Britain, should have some proof of their reliability. One of the very most important types of proof is the absence of any relevant recordings within the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB ).
The report generally consists of two pages, but only the first page is of any interest to you. The most important part for you is that there must be a “NONE” answer in every rectangle or “The applicant has no convictions for disclosure”.
